I have done some bird videos – fun because it gives a lot more information about their behaviour that stills do. I plan to do a lot more of them this summer. I´ll post some of my older ones later today. What I´m not so good at is post – cutting and splicing – do you have suggestions for intuitive and easy software Rob and Patrick ?

I retired as a surgeon/professor 5 years ago, believing I could devote myself to photography and other interests for the rest of my life. Then I was lured into part-time work for a private firm specialised in occupational medical services. It turned out to be one of the most interesting and enriching experience of my life, so that I am nowhere near quitting and will probably not retire until they kick me out. My workdays are filled with conversations and professional interactions with people from all walks of life, improvements of work related health conditions, legislations and processes in cooperation with colleagues, HRM´s etc. This certainly reduces the time I have to do photography and work on alt processes but that´s okay for so long as I´m having fun and am doing some good. Making money out of photography has never been my aim and never will be. However I have sold some shots and I have found it very difficult to put a price tag on my work. What I do of “professional” shooting has been for friends and relatives free of charge.

Why don´t you get new hips at your hospital Patrick ? The operation is easy – people recover quickly and they last 15-20 years.
