The Louvre…total white marble/stone. Loved it with the contrast of shadows.

We had a snow day at work, so I came home early.
I slapped some eyeliner on my roommate and a black dress in the DI (Goodwill) pile, and made her heat it up a bit. 🙂

When I lived in Spain, I wanted nothing more than to have a true quintessential experience – which, to my dismay, was part stereotype. I searched long and hard to find it.
A long story short, when I stumbled into this tablao, I was mesmerized and honestly a squealing fan girl. The woman in the center of this photo was sort of the “mother hen” of all the dancers. I loved the fire in her gazes at her little chicks. Flamenco was true love to her…I could tell she woke up thinking about it, practiced all day, breathed it, ate it, performed it, dreamed about it, repeat.

This is my first post on Light Stalking. I’m not any sort of photographer. My living in Europe was the first time I ever really “took photos”, but I’ve been approached about them quite a few times. I’m still trying to figure out what is so ‘magical’ about mine. I don’t know anything about composition, light, etc. I just snap photos of what pleases me, and of moments that make me nostalgic.

            Glad to meet you all!
