interesting pose, nice full frame.
the wings forward reminds me of a ballerina dancer throwing her arms forward.
ok guys, i’m getting there
Hi drat. Yes my wife is trying to make the same point to me. I’m colour blind, so I’m naturally drawn to the overly dramatic looks. But my wife guides me a lot here.
Hi Albirder. Yes, I am shooting in RAW. But I wouldn’t be able to move the sun into a better position, so alas will revisit the spot and redo the photo (what an excellent excuse to get out there:) I’ve just subscribed to adobes creative suite deal for light room and Photoshop, so am still reading a lot and watching a lot of YouTube “how to videos” and all I can say is WOW there’s a lot out there, but all the good stuff I’m getting is right here from LS. so I’m really glad to be here.
Hi Guys. Your feed back has been really helpful. I’m going to try recue this photo as much as possible, but i think the only real solution is to go back and retake the photo. this forum has really been great in opening up my eyes to things I really wasn’t aware of before. Please keep the tips and pointers coming.
Thanks Albirder, Your critique is really really helpful. I’ll try the adjustments and repost here again
yes, I used the graduated filter in Photoshop to darken the exposure. – I think I over did it a bit didn’t I?
a Real classic – love it
Good composition – works good with the text “classical”
Great fish eye – could you try and fix the blow-out?
Thanks guys, this looks better.
What about the little yellow thingy sticking up bottom centre left? Thanks Rob. Yes i was wondering about that
Thanks for the tip – I’ll definately try it as soon as i get home
Thanks Irene. I didnt even see the dirt spots.
Hi Irene. I am curious too.
The sky is a bit overexposed.
I agree with others;
1. Use a tripod
2. Try HDR
Great compositionThe dark background shadow really brings out the centre piece.
