Agree with @gsfife, the two wooden objects will then lead the eye to the lighthouse, there is nothing interesting on the right hand side
Well I like to take credit but thanks goes to @cameraclicker for letting me know.
Take it off high speed sync, I just learned today that it gives multiple strobes and you get motion blur
I suggest you use a ND filter if your camera can’t handle the background, this will allow you to open the f-stop a bit more blurring the the background. left leg up a bit exposing the other shoe more. Yes get the whole dress in
KEN_4553.JPG by Ken on Light Stalking Thanks @cameraclicker, high speed synch seemed to be the culprit for movement, added gels, shot at 1/200, speedlights set at 1/64. I did not tidy the water as I am trying to perfect the ability first. I even added gelatine to water to try and slow it down??? Ah well I will keep trying
Can’t decide what the topic is
KEN_1081.JPG by Ken on Light Stalking This taken with flash ….. second curtain I have not tried yet. Thanks for the idea … I am desperate. The first two above was against sunlight.
Sure you are the only one
Try cropping the right window out, the natural lighting will come to its due especially with the chair. 🙂 I want that chair
KEN_4399.JPG by Ken on Light Stalking I tried my 5DMiii, 100mm L IS, F16, ISO 1000, 1/2500, still no luck
Feast your eyes. Truly fantastic!!
Like a fairy tale, nice composition
Stalking on the net (company time) Weekends are more for practical (camera in hand) LOL
Watch out in overdoing the HDR processing causing the halos. Would like to see the lines the boats make going to 1/3 left side and leading to the water edge
Dark background and dark hair, some backlight would enhance the overall pic
I will stark working on the recommendations shortly, Thought that I will share the unedited and uncropped imagec first. Unfortunately I did not shoot this in RAW.
Not sure what you wanted to achieve, this is a great silhouette. Maybe try crop the left just to left of the uprights
Joanna is right, if you crop … crop halfway between the joints
Maybe I want the impossible and should just trash it. detail and mist just do not go together
Not sure what lens you were using, but to get the desired effect a wide angle helps a bit. Using a ND filter will also allow for a longer exposure and in the process get some movement in the clouds
