Many thanks John. And for your input to make me a better photographer (or rather a taker of photos) Keep it up my friend and best wishes.
Cheers
Andre
I forgot to reply to your proposal:
“We new a NEW forum where members can post pictures that have gotten awards. How inspiring that would be.”For some reason I don’t think this will go down very well with admin! Maybe I’m wrong??
Keep well
André
Thanks a lot @albirder, I suppose you’re right. For me it all boils down to what you wanted to achieve with a photo, does it stick to basic, good photographic principles NB, not rules. Then you want your photo to be critiqued by people who know what they talking about. You’ll notice that I wasn’t active on LS for a long time precisely because of critique that what given by people who don’t even have an album on the site. This Facebook group where I got the first spot is a closed group with almost 10000 members, 12 finalists are chosen and then three winners are announced. Do yourself a favour and visit Artopho group on Facebook. You’ll see the most fantastic work there. Thanks for your “open mindedness” regarding art in general and then photography as a special form of art.
What’s your opinion @tobiepsg?
Many thanks @chrissieBee!!
Thanks again @albirder foryour constructive critique!
Many thanks @Reyers. This is now really constructive critique!!
Many thanks @Reyers. I get your message and critique welcomed
LOL……..@arthurR4, I get the drift…………….keep right to be right!
Thanks for positive remarks
Hi to you “old buddies” @Nikon-Nut @Tersha and @tobiepsg and new ones @Lburgess and @albirder . Yes, its been a while since I visited LS. There were a few reasons for that, but I’ll be back more often now. Hopefully my photography has made a step up as well?? I’ll let you guys decide đŸ˜‰
@lburgess thanks you ever so much for your well appreciated comment on my flickr album!!Greetings to all
Many thanks for your very nice comment @Albirder! Sorry I don’t have many seascapes in my LS album, but you can have a look at my flickr album:

No problem Rob.

Thanks everyone for your constructive remarks.
Sorry @Tobiepsg, I thought there was something missing! It was a 18-55 mm Nikkor kit lens
Many thanks Tobie @Tobiepsg. Yes I agree with the highlights!
@Agentkramer
Hi Daniel, many thanks for the kind positive comments and advice! The aspect ratio was 1:1. In retro-inspection, I must agree with you that the vignette was a bit overdone and does distract a tad.
Greetings
AndrĂ©LOL…….@gordonjames, thanks for kind and wise comments. The piano is right behind the first tree right hand side!
@Bharwood and @Andymbody,
Thanks for comments. I agree with the “falling over” and I corrected that. As for the sharpness and contrast that’s “soft” and more vibrant colors??…………..this photo is exactly what I wanted because that was how the scene looked like. I might be wrong, but I do not change a scene just because it might look better. I tend to stick to the original (as I saw it at the time the photo was taken) I’m not talking about altering the composition or change the angles and POV. I’m sorry, but I can’t imagine a more ugly photo than a misty one with vibrant colors. The softer, the better without being monochrome. Again, I saw this scene in color (albeit soft and not vibrant)Thanks anyway
