You can download directly into Flickr from LR, just activate your account through LR. Its on the bottom left of the library tab, under downloads. Once you have it activated, you just drag your thumbnail into it (after editing) and it loads in that catalog. Once you have all the photos you want to upload in that catalog, click on publish and they will load directly into Flickr.
Great colors Rob! I like this, especially the blend of a starry sky with a sunrise. It really shows the cusp of a new day.
I think I would like it better without the people in it. I might pump up the sunlight just a tad, to give it a little more strength. Nice clouds!Interesting shot! Too much foreground, the subject with the umbrella gets lost. I would also increase contrast a little, its a bit murky, unless that is the feel you are going for. Its a nice moody sky, so cloning out the wire as others has suggested and making the sky the top 2/3 would help bring the subject out more. Love the mood of this, it has a lot of possibilities.
January 6, 2016 at 8:10 am in reply to: Weekend Photography Challenge #262 Merry Christmas, Baby… #216382Ha! No, not on Christmas Day, but this Uncle loves Christmas. He always wears a red hat and one green sock and one red sock. He just sits in the easy chair and watches the kids. Wonderful man!
Love this Chrissie! I can hear some really soulful jazz when I look at this.

Thanks Lenny! I likes the feel of this shot, I found it simple but interesting.
Thanks Irene, I will try that. Still working on getting comfortable in photoshop, so this will be a good project.
Love this! Would hang it on my wall in a heartbeat! Congratulations on POTW!
Chrissie,
I used the noise reduction in LR, but I am not familiar enough with PS to use that one yet. This was shot at an extremely high ISO, so I doubt I will get enough noise out of it to make it print worthy beyond 5×7. I will look back at the pics from that game and see if there are any other poses, although I kind of liked the alone in the the cold rain feel.Irene, thanks for the ideas, I will definitely try some of them. Not sure how to fix the blur on the horizon though. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Once again, thanks for the comments, most helpful as usual!
I was talking about the first one.
Love it Irene! Maybe some selective dropping in the highlights would bring out the detail in the horses without losing the overall feel. I like the brightness, as if they are in a sunny meadow with soft light. The contrast in the grass is a little harsh. Maybe a contrast filter layer?
Great light, and the out of focus foreground doesn’t bother me too much, it has an almost framing effect. It might be a little too much foreground, maybe thats what Albirder lost in it. Gorgeous light, great focus on the moss and beautiful bokeh, but no primary subject to anchor the eye. I feel like there is just a little too much out of focus, the foreground and the background. I keep wandering around it looking for something. Great color and light though.
Agree with Ed about the top, but the lighting in this is just captivating! I have to keep looking at it. Love the texture and tone too.
Oh Simon, I love this! I might like to see just a tad more detail on the dock, it has such an interesting pattern that really leads the eye out, like it just goes on and on. I like the clear, deep sky. I think clouds might clutter such a clean and smooth shot. Nicely done!
Beautiful! Love the subject in this!
I agree with too much blur in the foreground, I would crop some of that out as well. If you have more sky, I would maybe bring the fisherman more forward and add more of that gorgeous sky. Not sure about cropping the buildings though, might be off balance, but it might be worth a shot. Check the horizon, it looks just slightly off-kilter towards the left (where the buildings meet the water) but that might be an illusion from the water.Incredible colors on this Simon, and the fisherman is perfectly in focus. Gorgeous shot!
I like the light fall off in the background, and the colors are great. I would crop out the out of focus pink flower in the bottom right, and I would try to get better focus on the petals in the foreground on the subject flower.
The light is beautiful in this, I would like to see a little more of the foreground in focus though. I like the balance in this though, its moody and intense.Flickr for shots I just really like and think others may be interested in. I use it to experiment, see what others might like or not get any hits on. Its great for experimental shots and sharing. Plus its free!
I use shootproof or client images and commerce. Its easy to use, and I can provide clients with a personal gallery, they can order prints directly through it and it links to several different labs with tons of products. I can also password protect galleries for clients in case they don’t want their pictures public. (kid shots mostly)
http://redheadphotography.shootproof.comFacebook is fun for friends, and I have a page just for my photography stuff. I showcase galleries from my site there and include both best stuff and some just for fun stuff to keep it interesting. I just started the page, so far so good.
