Why isn’t my photo showing up?!
we visited a school in the Shan Mountains in Burma during our hike and met a young school boy who enjoyed a cookie. Shot with Sony SLT-A65, F7.1 at 1&160 sec with 35 mm, adjusted in LR4 Yummie! Boy in Myanmar by Marisa Jorda on Light Stalking
School’s out in a small school in the Shan mountains in Myanmar (Burma) an all the kids are heading home! As fast as they can! Shot with Sony SLT A65 at F7.1 , 1/320 sec and 28mm School’s out! by Marisa Jorda on Light Stalking
Hello! to be honest, I think I like the coloured one more. What I am missing is some sort of focus point where the leading lines are meeting. A sculpture, a person, an animal, anything which is worth to have the eye drawn to it. Bt maye I am wrong. I like the atmosphere and the greens 🙂
no picture?!
thank you very much for your feedback! I was also going for number 1 but I wasn’t sure! Now I feel “safe” with my choice!
do you think I should crop it?
thank you everybody for your comments and advice!
Wow! The helicopters in front of you make the difference!
Hello! Do you have anymore info onthe shot? What were you trying to attempt? I like the composition, but I am not sure what the impact should be
I love this type of reflections and was never able to catch it! How do you do this? I like the Bokeh in the background!
Hm, not sure which one I like more … the original or the new version
thank you all for your helpful feedback. I am sorry but there is no more space under the foot of the first novice. They came out of the forrest all over sudden and I was just able to raise my camera and shoot. In the meanwhile I edited the pic myself a bit and added some graduated filters to lighten the path and draw the eye of the viewer to the boys rather than cropping the pic. What do you think of this idea? Myanmar vignette-7185.jpg by Marisa Jorda on Light Stalking
maybe I should have taken down the saturation in post processing?!
thank you so much! It is funny, but I did not change the saturation! the colours have been like that in Myanmar! It was right after the rainy season (very clear air) and the colours hve been overwhelming! So much overwheming that they look overprocessed. I just added a little bit of contrast and a little bit of clarity (tiny bit) and tweaked the shadows and highlights a bit.
in the first moment I also thought of b&w but then I think you will lose this subtle reddish colour of the water, which i like
Hello! the picture shows a lot of motion and movement! I like that. What I am missing is alittle of a focus point! What is the focus of the picture. Do you want to emphasize on the swimming sea gull in the lower mid of the pic or more on the lift top? This is unclear to me. I like the colour of the water reflections (looks like sunset a bit) . Thanks for sharing your pic!
Hello, the barriers aren’t disturbing to me. If you crop them you would loose the interesting foregroud and “photoshopping” them away is anawful lot of wok. What I think I don’t like are the different temperatures (cold in the foreground and warm the ruins in the background). But maybe this s something what makes the picture special. Take care
I like the mood of the picture very much! Maybe the tree could be a lillte bit more out of the centre?! But I am not an expert and just a beginner … so please don’t take my comment as a suggestion from a very unexperienced person
