G’day everyone, I’m Odille from Terranora on the far north coast of NSW, Australia. My passion is landscapes (and as you’ll see I’ve already started a Group here for it) but I like to take all types of shots. Look forward to ‘meeting’ you all in the forums.

I open the image, do the straighten, crop, clone/healing brush any dust spots, then make a new layer and go to Image/Adjustment/Black & White.

I have a play with the sliders, when I am reasonably happy with it I then go and adjust the brightness and contrast.

Occasionally you’ll find you need to go back and do a levels adjustment first, but you’ll get to know which images need it as you do a few.

To abide by the Flickr photo sharing code that you agree to when you sign up, you should do it this way:

                  1. Click on the image in Flickr
                  2. Go to Share This
                  3. Come down to Grab the HTML/BB code
                  4. Click on the BB code button (no, it’s the other one – see below!)
                  5. Slect the size (I have used Medium 640 pixels below)
                  6. Paste everything that appears in the dialog box into your forum post here (or wherever)
                  7. Post the thread

so it looks like this (with the link back):

It is the HTML code you paste! I’ve never seen a forum where that works before, how odd.
