I agree with @dchester 1001. In ST optional after subjective comments. I also like POTW and photographic experience of the people making comments. Enough said regarding this.Check It Out

If we have a rating system, I agree with @redman, keep it simple. After subjective comments a minimum critique would be: subject, composition ,exposure, creativity, does the photo tell a story. A rating of 1to 5 would be adequate. I also think photo of the week is a good idea. Remember Keep It Simple. Also, keep it to Shark Tank. Adding another…[Read more]

I too like the original more. The radial filter in Lightroom is one of my favorites. It brings your attention right to the bird. Good job. Would definitely enter in that contest.Check It Out

If you’re talking about shark tank, I’m not sure if ratings are a good idea. I really enjoy the subjective critiques and suggestions our members give. i feel the” verbal” response our members give is so much more meaningful than just assigning a number to one or a few traits in a particular photograph. i think this is what separates Shark Tank…[Read more]

Beautiful capture and image. Overall I think the photo is too overexposed. I would like to see the exposure reduced. The bright background in the upper left also needs to be slightly darker. The viewer’s attention needs to be drawn away from this bright spot. The child has a beautiful expression.. I would like to see the photo cropped to show more…[Read more]

After looking again at the picture, I think it’s right on . I think the definition and contrast needs no correction. I would love to see a larger size of this image.Check It Out

nikon-nut, I agree with @admin. The more I use Lightroom the more I love it. It’s definitely logical and more intuitive than PS. As far as the picture you posted, The black and white makes it. Beautiful image, properly placed. I would like to see it with slightly more sharpening and contrast. I think this would bring out more definition in the…[Read more]

I agree with Nikon nut on this one. This photo needs to obey the rule of thirds. Also needs to be cropped with a lot less water and more ducks. Good use of light and dark. Would like to see it again after it is cropped (a lot)Check It Out

I agree with Michael lloyd. I use Lightroom 5. The more I use it the more fun I have and the easier it becomes. I also use the radial tool a lot. In the case of your picture, I would place the radial filter around the subject ,increase exposure to desired level, check the invert mask and your done. You can also use layers in Lightroom using the…[Read more]

Beautiful capture. I like the exposure as is. The fact that the background is in bokeh makes the subject stand out , it also makes you think about his workshop without detracting from the picture. I would like to see his face in a little more light and the blue spots cloned out of the picture. I also agree that the eyes could be a little more en…[Read more]

Beautiful capture, beautiful post process. What lens and settings? The only “problem” I see is the “seaweed”or object in foreground. I can’t make out what it is and my eye is drawn to it. I think the photo would be much better without it.Check It Out

Love the capture, vignette, and bokeh. I would have used a little, and only a little, fill flash to slightly lighten her face. Also, possibly decrease the highlights on her hair. My eyes are drawn to her hair, but with slight adjustment my eyes will be brought to her face.Check It Out

Nice capture, but I think the foreground and cannons are slightly overexposed. I like the isolation of color but I would like to see more contrast, vibrance and saturation. I would also like to see photo cropped with a little less foreground. Good composition especially with the leading lines that the cannons make.Check It Out
