              Consider correcting the curved horizon and controlling the exposure (of the sky etc) by using a ND grad filter.

                    The other thing you can, to get a feel for it, is to shoot “street” with your partner, as in my post above and;

                    #1 Near home

                    Reflection & technology.

                    #2 and again on vacation.

                      A lot of my “street” photography is done whilst on vacation etc. It just seems easier that way.

                      #2 Close to home during a festival. During festivals a lot more people are around and the atmosphere can be very relaxed.

                          As they stand #3 for me also.
                          I wonder how #2 would look with most of the foreground cropped out.

                                Just copy the files across using your operating system.

                                The NEF files are Nikon RAW file.

                                Unless you specifically deleted them they still should be on your PC.

                                I don’t know how Picasa works.

                                I copy the files to my PC and make a backup to an external hard drive.

                                Then I import them into Lightroom (Where the files will now be in your import destination folder). Then I edit them and export the edited pictures in what ever format I want.
                                The editing data is attached or linked (you can control how this is done in lightroom) to the original RAW file which remains unchanged.

                                Then the lightroom files are backed up.
