I would crop out about 40% of the right side of the photo and focus more on the table and window. I agree there could be something very simple on the table to add interest. Check It Out

The lighting is very neutral. In addition to adding some brightness, if there was some lighting from one direction it will add some depth and feeling to the photo. Good crop. Check It Out

There is no real focal point to draw me into the photo. A little like elevator music, it is nice but doesn’t draw me to want to hear it again. You might play with allowing just a small amount of color into the photo.Check It Out
