Thanks again for all your feedback. it’s really helpful. As mentioned I really liked the shadow – that for me is the best bit and the fact that he looks pretty content sitting there in the sun drinking his coffee on his own. anyway here is the re-edited version with lower contrast and higher clarity – different crop (cropped much more than I normally do – I should have got closer!) I really love this feedback thing – thanks so much!

I like it but wonder if it might have been stronger taken from an oblique angle. It also looks a little green on my screen. Yes, the more I look it at the more I want to move the thing round – or move myself round a bit.

Chrismajoroff – hello. I do babies now but very natural (no baskets or buckets) I popped something in the shark tank already – it’s not even remotely as bad as I expected and was very helpful. Made me think about my crop and the photo is much better already.
SJYes, thank you. The crop is much better. I think this is something I really have to think about in future as I know I get the crop wrong sometimes. Is that who the football thing is about??? I’ve never have known but my Dad was a Spurs man!

Ok – I’l need to double check exif data when back on my computer but I think it was 8s. I agree – I have been playing round with these slow shutter speeds lately and I haven’t got it right yet. Would have been better to have his face super sharp. I can see the crop needs doing – something for me to look out for sure whenever I’m editing and I totally agree about not cleaning up the street. It has taken me ages to learn how to clone stuff but I recently sorted someone’s wonky eyes and some glare on his glasses out and was rather proud of myself but I don’t think I’d want to use it in this sort of photograph. Thanks for your comments everyone and I’ll make sure I include exif data next time.
That gives it a whole different slant, doesn’t it? I’ve recently discovered winding clarity back and did some images that way too.

I love motion blur as a thing but I think I agree that it might be better if these legs were both as sharp as each-other so the silhouette was much cleaner. I do like the reflection (another big like of mine) and the colours. I might add more clarity in Lightroom but I tend to overuse that! đŸ™‚
