Really cool picture, but eurgh, that’s a lot of spiders
Alright, so here’s what I’ve got after reading through all of your suggestions. I’m thinking, in hindsight, the eyes a bit too much haha but anyway I’m not changing my whole skin tone in order to control the highlights, so I tried to compensate by having the face equally bright. Thoughts?
Hey, fellow student! I like the choice you made by turning it into a black and white photo, it gives it the serious vibe implied by your title. A little more contrast in the area above the trees would do the picture good. With the person in the frame, it’d be better if you either didn’t have the person in the shot, or if they weren’t standing right in front of the tree (although if you ended up retaking this picture, you should definitely see if you can wait for another person to walk through). To match the mood of your title, I would focus the main two-thirds of your photograph on the reflection, so that the storytelling would be focused more on whether reality is within the main portion of the image, something that’s only a reflection, or the minority of the picture, which is in focus. Keep taking pictures! đŸ˜€
(Oh also I have no idea about the orientation thing, I’ve never had that problem, sorry.)
I have to be honest, I can’t remember how, if I can at all, to reply to specific people haha anyway, thanks for the great tips, everyone! The twig was a really quick fix and I have no idea why I didn’t do it before (nah, I do, I was just being lazy). I’ve definitely learned a bit about color through this one.
Ooh, someone bit. Great, thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely keep everything in mind.
Also this, since I couldn’t put two in one post:
Thanks!
