The clouds is what caught my eye first. Agreed that they may be overly contrasty, though I do like the drama that adds. Personally I dislike the blue color cast on the midground area of the mountains, if that was some sort of post production by product of using a gradient filter or mask, perhaps that could be tweaked to better allow the earth tone reds and foliage greens to be more prominent.
My apologies if this comes off the wrong way, and I’m sure you’re trying to be helpful, but OP’s question centered around the fact that there is no obvious FAQ or guideline or sticky covering general site usage. And while browsing around the site, I have seen several similar posts asking similar questions that seem to go unanswered for the most part.
The single exception that I’ve found thus far is this thread where the answer was essentially “try looking now, I made some changes”, without any link to where to look.
You surely can’t have the time to investigate each issue of a common nature on a case by case basis via email…is there really no such thing as a general FAQ or site guidelines sticky thread?? And while I’m at it, no way to preview posts before submission?
