Good use of the rule of thirds on this image. And if you hadn’t said it was through the window I don’t think anyone would have known.
Thankyou. I read alot about that lately. I had the bird dead center in the middle of the frame just before I pressed the sutter release and that rule accured to me just in time.
@stevedias – You ended up close to the rule of thirds, but you chose the wrong intersect. When shooting wildlife of any sort you generally want more room in the direction they are looking (or flying, walking, etc) into. In this image you would have been better served to have it on one of the left intersects. My preference would have been the left, lower crossing point, but the upper could have worked as well.
