  I’ve been making images since the age of 5 or 6. I’m really not sure which age is more accurate but I know I wasn’t very old when my parents allowed me to use their old Brownie box camera. We had just moved into what was my Grandparents’ house when I began taking photos of people, flowers and squirrels. I have continued to make images ever since. I worked for a studio for a while and finally graduated to my own studio. I changed communities and went from studio photography to working for a newspaper as a darkroom technician and stringer. I had contracted to a paper previously so I already knew how to screen images for halftone printing. I eventually moved up to the newsroom when they scaled back the darkroom in their move to digital. The paper was a small weekly so there was no money to help us to move to digital as reporter/photographers. Eventually, we all moved too digital. Since then I have freelanced, and worked in colour photolabs. I’m still an active photographer and active in a local camera club where I’m currently the president. That’s a very brief bio for anyone who wants to read it.
