I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a camera of some sort. I forced my sister to take a photo of me when I was about 13 for a pen pal in France. I didn’t like my looks at the time (do any of us?), but the photo she took of me looked great! I’ve since seen photos of myself that weren’t so good!
When I left home for college, my Dad gave me his old Super 8. I had a nice movie of Roger Staubach (he was in the Naval Academy) coming down Notre Dame’s field for a touchdown. ND lost, of course, but what a thrill to have that film.
With the advent of great software like Photoshop, Lightroom and Photoshop Elements, we can all learn something new every day. The older I get, the more fun I’m having with my camera.
