Hello everybody, I’m new.. 🙂
I myself am relatively new to photography having only picked up my first DSLR in 2012, a Nikon D3000. I never studied IT or though that I would ever chase a dream of being a professional photographer but here I am, officially trading now for 13 months!
What got me hooked and was a giant push was entering the Bournemouth Air Festival photo competition in September 2013, celebrating my first year with a DSLR at the same time. I went on and won in th eadult category, which for a beginner like myself at the time was a shock as I had seen hundreds if not thousand of long lens ‘togs out on Bournemouth Beach, with me and my kit lens lol. Winning the comp got me £300 voucher for cam gear which enabled me the flash gun and fast lens to start night club photography.
Upgraded to a D3200 in sept 2014 for the next air show whilst coming to complete my work with The Princes Trust, teaching me to be business Savvy, completed that in December and that enabled me to jump to a D810 with a 24-70 lens!
I finished the nightclub stuff in December, and began doing a lot of work for the local tourism industry for Bournemouth, and now I am quite well known locally and contracted to cover most local events and happenings, of which there are many!
Now I’m trading quite a lot, I’m aware how fast things have traveled and always look to improve my photography, because I’m sure there’s lot’s I’ve missed!! So that brings me here
