Allows Edits? NoHi Lightstalkers :)!
I haven’t seen too much activity about Urbex in these forums, and it’s my new favourite photography subject, so I’ve thought about start a new thread about Urbex and Industrial Decay, where all lightstalker can share their pictures.
My stuff:
The rests of an old bodywork’s factory. There is a great contrast because it’s very close to a popular and active mall in my city.
An abandoned ceramic factory (due to the ‘brick crisis’).And finally, my last excursion: an abandoned industrial area:

Allows Edits? YesI really wish I was into this back when I was in Japan. Found an old abandoned hospital that was very cool.

Allows Edits? NoThis is like when I tried to shoot wildlife: There aren’t fruit bats here in my city :p, but if you look for animals here, you find more than you expect.
When I watched urban exploration pictures for first time, I thought there weren’t places like those close to me… but if you look for them, you can find interesting places around you. Much of them have their own story about economic crisis.
There are awesome places around the world (in Japan, I’ve read much about amazing places in Central Europe…), but always there also are interesting places close to you :).

Allows Edits? YesHi Astaroth, this is a very interesting subject. Enjoyed looking through all the images. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I like the abandoned ceramic factory and the industrial area. I am a great fan of graffiti. Always been amazed by the work of these artists 🙂

There are better graffiti than others. There are abandoned places that they seem to be urban art museums opened only for a few lucky visitors. I liked, for example:

I find some of these places in satellite images in Google Maps. I also follow some webs about this topic. A knowledge about local economic conditions can help: for example, close where I live the ceramic industry was very popular since 19th Century (or before), and it increased in 50’s. Later, in 70’s, it crashed. Now you can find several ceramic factories in ruins close to here.
I’m sure that there are similar places close to you :).

I haven’t done a lot of this type of photography, but this is one shot that I’ve always liked. It was a very creepy place.

Allows Edits? NoIt seems a very interesting place! It was abandoned? There was a witch living inside :)? I like the old/scratches effect, and the deciduous trees increase the creepy effect :)!

It was definitely abandoned, and very strangely built. The four windows at the top almost look like I Photoshopped them in there- but that’s how they really were. Very strange construction and all non-conforming angles etc. I did add the grunge effects to increase the “creepy factor”. It seems like a place that a witch might be living- doesn’t it!

Allows Edits? NoYes, It does!
It’s true: the disposition and size of the windows is a little strange… It’s a very rare building, and a beautiful picture.
