      That outdoor portrait was a failed attempt at being contemporary, I think this outdoor shot is much better. My only worry is that the background is a tad distracting.

        I also took some more contemporary shots and this one came up. Is there too much head room? Is it a good use of creative negative space? Would you crop it differently?

          Hi, I am new to Light Stalking and new to the critique game but I’ll give it a shot. First, I agree that the light is very distracting. I am not sure how much post work you did to it but I am hoping for your sake that there is some pixel information in there that your can bring out. If you could bring a little bit of form to the light fixture I think it could add a lot more than a burst of light. I am not sure if it is my computer screen, but the photograph seems to have a grey tinge to it, and not in the “oh that is a cool have desaturation” kind of way. I would look to accentuate the natural orange of the photo.
