Understood…and thank you! Could you please tell me what was wrong with the DOF and lighting also, as this will help for my next shot. Thanks!
Thank you both for that. I felt the same way, however, there was “junk” all around the front of the boat.
Taken on Caye Caulker in Belize. 320 SS, f6, iso 200, spot meter and Aperture mode. D7000 with 55-200m lens
Looking for what I could have done better. Thank you.The white hanging light behind his/her ear and the blue lighting(?) running across the back of the shot take away from the overall nice capture.
I agree with nikon-nut, except in this shot she is not totally to showing her full back. You can see she is reading by window light and the lighting is good, however there should have been more in front of her and the book. She was too close to the left of the shot. The blinds should not have been in the shot. It tells a story…good!
March 16, 2014 at 11:26 am in reply to: Shark Tank Etiquette (Please read this first) (UPDATED May 23, 2019) #126654I have just recently joined the Shark Tank and have read/looked at quite a few. I have also sent one in and critiqued another.
I am a little disappointed in the answers some or most are giving. I thought this was to be a “critique” of what you would have done to make it better, or what was done wrong. I am seeing alot of ‘not my taste’ or don’t like the color or nice shot. This is not being helpful. If we are to learn…we need to be taught what can help us…useful information.
I have a lot to learn and learn from others critiques as well. Thank you for listeningThank you michael-lloyd….very much appreciated! We are now living in Belize, and I am not sure of all of the bird species. I will be sure to look up Artie Morris.
Thank you elizabethk! I liked it also in that respect, however…do you have any constructive criticism to maybe help me do better?
Hand held and auto focus. If 1/640 is pretty fast, why was it not crisper/sharp? I am having a terrible time with this. Was it hand held blurriness or SS blurriness?
Thank you all for your in put! I just thought it was a cute shot with his beak open (like he was laughing) and, if you noticed, his foot up, like he thought something was hilarious.
Any and all critique is ALWAYS welcome =)Sorry…I meant to do that. And Thank you jedetraz for your input. Nikon d7000, 50-200 lens, f/8 ap, 1/640 ss, 125 focal length and center weight metering.
I am learning Manual mode and cannot get a really crisp shot. I think Im having trouble with shutter speed. Thank you for any help! -
