@robertapple, I really just bought this camera to take to the nursing home after my husband was admitted there. It was easier to take than my canon. He passed away the end of last year and I decided I wanted to see just what this camera does. Didn’t have any golds in mind, but I will check out the digital lomography. Thanks for all the infomration.
Thanks for the replies. I’m just really disappointed in this camera. I thought maybe it was something I was doing, But more and more I think it is the camera and I don’t need to expect too much out of it.
I also agree with less grass and more sky. Very nicely done !!!
Thank you both for your comments. I did use the Spot healing and it worked great. I really like the Ridiculously Simple Photography Trick, very interesting …
Can’t add anything but the word BEAUTIFULLY DONE.
I really like the final product, but I also like Horatio’s for this reason: the color behind the boat is brighter and I think it brings the guys out in the boat more and also the sunset is brighter and I think it illuminates the water ripples a little more. I really like both very much.
looks C O L D !! Very interesting with the clouds of different colors and shapes.
Really nice! He looks like he was just as interested in you. Love the green contrast.
Very nice and interesting shot.
beautifully captured, love the soft colors.
Beautiful cat!!! looks like he rules the roost !!!
Thank you again for the all the comments. I thought about the glasses but I decided it added mystery to the woman. Fun photo because it was a friend and the comments have made me think a little more.. I may even venture out to actually do some more people shots. Thanks again to all !!!!
I blurred the background a little more, but still felt the black windows were more distracting so I cropped on the right. Thanks for all the imput. I will remember ( tell a story with your photo). I think I like this one better.
Thanks, Falxy !!!!
Thanks for the comments. I see your point about it not really telling a story, Ken and it was of a friend and just a spur of the moment decision. I never take photos of people. I find it taxing so to speak, but I really need to do more of this because there is so much I can learn.
Angie, I will definitely do some blurring on the buildings behind her to see if it will isolate her more.
March 22, 2018 at 10:08 pm in reply to: I tried to capture sparkles bouncing off from grinder in extremely low light #334630Nice capture of the sparks, I also agree with Lenny and Tom. I don’ think you would need to adjust but just a little and I think it would make the sparks look hotter and give more impact to the sparks.
Would love to read a tutorial !!! love the pics
Thanks everyone your feedback has been a tremendous help to me. To me, I think that Honeysuckles are “busy” plants. They have a lot going on. Thank goodness I have a yard full of these beautiful flowers so I can keep trying. But, I got one close to Erik’s that I am satisfied with but I have posted it since I have already posted two.
Erik, I like your edit. I didn’t think about adjusting the white balance and not using the auto. I am going to try a few more and see if I can get the white better. Thanks so much.
I like the second version immensely. I can’t add to the comments on the first one. I think that was very well covered.
