Cool. Love the feeling of an old master painting, maybe a bit lighter shadows, to give a few more details without taking the eye of the flow of the white flag and lighter part. Shame the the knight on the right swinging his sword on the horse is cut. a tiny bit wider crop (if possible) might be nice. I wonder as well how a lanscape crop would support the feeling of the flow of the flag and the battle going down the slope, but I am sure you considered all options and there is a reason for your choices.

Hi Lenny, lovely shot, I like the feeling, my only question would be if it looked better if the vignette was not centred, but tailored around the boy (shift mid point of vignette)

There is always room for aspiration … but as well unfortunately a day job and time constrictions  😉

Great textures, I think the two on the back right need to go into the pot rather soon 😉 From fame to food 😉 I wonder how this set plus some slab of fresh butter (the boutique one which is scooped not the slabs) would look like to add a lighter brown/beige tone to the scale.

What a nice memory – not sure why it is in the shark tank – visiting a friend is beyond any possible critique.

I like the blue version too, it’s kind of a nod to the Delft blue pottery

Great pano! I love Venice, hope to go back and explore all the other islands I missed in the future. I hope you had a great time!

Great shot, would be interesting to have a diptych comparing the moody scene with the same spot under blue skies

I am sharing Tobie’s feeling – I think the thought of the wooden spoons/kitchen tools and the following thoughts of happy kitchen moments don’t agree with the austere b/w. Otherwise love as always your thoughtful arrangement. Not sure why, but the spoon in the front somehow bothers me – not the positioning, but I somehow feel like it is perspective corrected. If black and white, I would probably prefer a towel with more texture…? That said the draping of the current one is really nice.

Some work with luminosity layer to lift the image and give it a lighter feel which might as well give you a lighter top part and more separation between trees and rocks. Tone down the red/yellow a pit to blend with the over all tones, if Vignete, I would create one with leaves the bottom right, I love how the light part draws your eyes in to follow the stream.

I think it is a decision about your story – do you want to show that the buy in the middle is close to winning – #1 maybe with an even more dramatic crop or do you want to show the differet ways the people run i.e. barefoot vs shoes which is easier to see on #2.

Love the mood, but this seems more about the “dog people” than the dogs which are harder to spot as they are mostly at the water line. I am not sure if it would be nicer to have a bit more separation in tone (i.e. develop blue tone lighter in b/w or what ever the colour behind the people is) between the silhouettes and the sea, the current look lets me focus on the reflections rather thane the people.

The second photo supports your title and assume intention of the shot. The top does not show caring and it looks almost as if the father is ordering something at a bar while the kid just stares away from him. Even if the second one is not as candid, it shows more of the father and there is more feeling in how he holds the kid

Hmm, if the eyes are not great and the deer looks slightly inattentive, why put the focus on the head… I get the point with the antlers, but I am not sure about the outcome. For me a major part of the pic was the atmosphere, the fairy tale kind of deer on sunny clearing thing and the relaxed pose adding to this calming atmosphere. In the end it comes down to me “what made you take the pic?” the look, the sun on the curves of the deer, the overall atmosphere…
