Thanks Tobie, I think she’s a doll too, but then, I am her Gram. : )
Lenny,
Shot with a camera modded for IR. Sony 12.1 megapixel Cyber-shot.Bet that was a construction crew nightmare putting up all that steel without accidently damaging the building.
Have to agree on the bottom window inclusion. I suppose the shopping center/mall would frown upon your laying down on the floor which would probably allow you to get that little bit more building in your shot, huh?
Glad you got things all fixed up now. Poor you, having to do battle with the nightmare!
: )
Thanks Chris : )
Thanks @tersha
I’m sure there are several nuances & tricks I’ve still got to re-remember, but it will come. I didn’t know you’d converted a camera, I’ll have to have a peak at your photostream. Fun, isn’t it?!?!
Thanks Bobbie, that’s what I adore IR, it lends itself to dramatic so well.
Hi Dee,
Not new here, but I’d set down the camera for a while, (which turned out to be an almost three year while). I’m sure I’ll be scrambling to relearn all of what I have forgotten.
But this was the first place I came when I decided to take it back into my hand. Good people here always willing to share what they know.
Welcome,
YvonneStormy afternoon and evening, but the sun had the last say as it broke through the clouds near end of day. This is the view off my deck, black and white seemed the way to show it off nicely. And a serendipitous moment appeared when I signed on here and found “black and white” near top of the forum page.
True to my word, last Sunday I dusted off my oldest IR converted camera (an old Sony cybershot), charged up the battery and had at it a few times this week. (boy does my brain hurt now, had to remember all the IR conversions stuff after not touching it nigh on 2 years). But I’M BACK!
But, but, but…. where’s the boat, and the water!
Gotta be a real story as to how it ended up there. Good catch on this one!
While sitting on our deck this warm, muggy evening (waiting for the electric co. to come fix the faulty wire leading to the house) I thought I would take a quick click of the flag my husband proudly flies.
It is one of the first things he put up after arriving here. He replaces it at the first sign of wear, often straightens it when the wind tangles it around the pole and and has made me more aware of what I, who has always lived here, kind of took for granted. Thanks hon!
Well, it’s working, y’all have inspired me to dust off the photoshop program and play with an image of my grand daughter.
(Hadn’t forgotten as much as I thought I woulda…, although I haven’t tackled an IR raw image tonight, so we’ll see how much I’ve really forgotten!)
And Sunday (because then I’ll have some real time) the camera batteries are going to be paired up with their chargers and plugged in.

Wonder what that says about my personality, then again, maybe I don’t want to know!
