      Thanks all- knew the eye needed to be in focus-and you are right about the rope being the best focus. I think birds on feeders are fine-that’s the urban reality and I think a picture of that is valid. I do like the contrasting textures and stark difference between the black bird and the background as well as the different textures. Thanks for the comments

        It’s a very old ,small shed in the backyard with a very thin plywood roof .

          Hi, thanks so much for the comments. I don’t use any post processing software except for whatever is on my computer that allows me to crop and “auto enhance” , change saturation etc.I will have to look into something like that. I see what you mean about that one stick. And yup-that roof line is tilted đŸ™‚
