I think your caching plugin is causing major problems with the forums. I am getting 404 errors and out of date pages that can only be fixed by hard refresh (ctrl f5), even when I’m logged in.Check It Out

This is already a superb photos just by virtue of you being in the right place at the right time. But I agree with @nikon-nut, it has potential to be so much more than what it is now.
Pull back the highlights, crank up the shadows, crank the contrast to compensate and you’ll have a stunner.Check It Out

You need to fix your link, but I did manage to find the photo.
I think the cropping is too tight, the way his head is cut off of very distracting. Aprt from that it’s not bad, perhaps a little low in contrast, but that just my preference.Check It Out

This is one of those photos that at first glance looks a bit flawed, but grows on you quickly. Specifically, at first I was put of a bit by the busy background, but after looking at it for a while everything just came together. Nice photo.Check It Out

I’m very sorry, but I don’t think there’s much you can do with this one. Contrast and exposure etc. are fine but the framing is off. Cutting off part of the head is a big mistake, and the angle itself is just a bit awkward.

Vibrancy is fine, but your shadows have no depth making it look very flat. But to each his own.

Don’t let anyone tell you this can’t be fixed, it’s actually quite easy. Just pull down the shadows a lot, the blacks a bit, and raise the exposure slightly to compensate for the darkening effect that will have. 30 second adjustment.
If you shot this in raw you’re all set, you can fix it easily, but even on a tiny, highly compressed JPEG you have…[Read more]

It’s badly in need of a contrast boost, it’s extremely washed out. Apart from that it’s a nice composition, and I have no issues with the depth of field as it is. The layered, smooth clouds create nice texture in the background once the contrast is boosted.

Thank you, gentlemen.
The colours are fairly accurate, though I did punch up the contrast a bit to enhance the gritty nature of the area. Check It Out

Yep. When I loaded the image into Photoshop the histogram was pushed way to the right, which basically means there were no shadows. It creates a really nice glow for your model, but it also washes her out, basically in my opinion it was too much.
Right on as far as the F-stop goes, if your lens goes to 2.8 use it.Check It Out

The first portrait is by far the best, but there’s something off about the contrast. I don’t know if it was the lighting, the processing or if the shot was just overexposed but it’s giving your subject and ethereal feeling that may be desirable under certain circumstances but not, in my opinion when you’re trying to produce a life-like portrait.…[Read more]

You’ve captured a great moment here. It’s too small a size to tell if there are any technical flaws, but there certainly are no artistic ones. Check It Out
