Thanks Dillon 🙂 I think I should have made it clearer. Long exposure shots are actually based on motion blur. That’s why I mentioned light trails and the silky sea effect in number 3 🙂

Hey @refraXion,
Awesome question 🙂 You don’t necessarily use a longer focal length and keep the subject close to the camera at the same time. You simply choose depending on your focal length.
Shoot a […]

without the tree, i’m not sure it’ll be obvious that its a basketball.. however, if you clone it out (not crop), might be good abstract art.Check It Out

If it was possible to wait for the surfer to get a little bit more to the left, then this would be a better shot. In this angle, my eyes are also drawn to the left empty space. Might be better to crop in between the surfer and the left edge.
Awesome sharp dreadlocks though 🙂Check It Out

The bird facing the left makes you want to look left. The lamp post makes you want to look right and up.
I’m trying to imagine how to keep the lamp post, but I’m with @tersha on this one. Awesome bird though, would be great if you had a closer shot 🙂Check It Out

Your shot is actually tilting to a bit to the left. My eyes are drawn to that gray building in the foreground. It’s also the sharpest part of the photo but there’s nothing there to explore. The buildings at the back becomes your background since its a bit out of focus, but those are actually more interesting that that gray blockish one in front.…[Read more]

Your still life ideas are always interesting @valeryp That light on the wall creates that a line illusion directing the eyes to the eggs. I like how this one is composed although I prefer not seeing that little bump on the wall. Just a bit distracting for me. Love the wall texture though and how you arranged the eggs.
Not sure if its my…[Read more]

I think you’re trying to make the flowers your main subject, but its hiding behind the leaves. The obscured view doesn’t help. I’m looking at the leaves more rather than the flowers,
There’s also a lot going on with the background. Might work with a wider depth of field. -
Karlo de Leon replied to the topic Desolated and in despair in the forum The Shark Tank Feedback Forum 9y, 11mo ago
Agree with @nikon-nut. First thing I noticed as well, contrast is too flat. Technically its an underexposed image given your subject and the tones.Check It Out

Karlo de Leon replied to the topic Haunted House in the forum The Shark Tank Feedback Forum 9y, 11mo ago
I prefer the first image. The tones are a bit tricky, makes it look like underexposed, so keeping the windows like that helps a lot. Adds more character too.
I think you chose the right kind of sky, makes it look more dynamic and a bit scarier. I wouldn’t hang this on my wall though. I think you understand. 🙂Check It Out
