@ran7010 Thanks! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the thread.
@karlodl Thanks! I’ve added some contrast to address the underexposed look.
@nikon-nut & @claudia-betia I’ve attempted a ‘scream-like’ face in a window, not sure how well it ‘reads’ at such a small size though.

Thanks @karlodl…I went back to LR and burned in that upper R corner, and held back the highlights on the table and dominoes (as @nikon-nut also mentioned). I think when I did the conversion in SilverEfex, the preset I used was too contrasty. Would it be beneficial to re-post it? Check It Out

I think @karlodl has some very good points. I think this image would have more affect if you toned down the highlights in the center of the table and brought out the texture in the table top, the crack in the table top and the dominoes themselves. Check It Out

I should have realigned my shot. I was thinking that getting the dam (structure on the left) in it would give shot a secondary subject. @karlodl I used a gradient filter. However, I am not seeing the blue that you are referring to. I see blue where the rocks meet the trees, but that is the dam.
Thanks for the input. Will do another shot there…[Read more]

@betty-2 This was at a restaurant so I worked the shot… all three shots and then I ate the subject! More of a crop seemed to unbalance the “divorced” part. And your right @michaell-lloyd, it was delicious! @karlodl you are right the light source was a 3 meter tall floor to ceiling window with no draperies. If I were to shoot this aga…[Read more]

I like it like this. With the traditional rule of thirds, it would like any other photo, it would lose its uniqueness. When i first saw this, the first thing that struck me was the word ‘different’. Never seen a pic like it. As @karlodl said, it may be unbalanced but this unbalance is what strikes my eye. Check It Out

I’m with @karlodl on this one. Sharpen it to somewhere in the middle of the two versions. Just wonder if it would not have added more context had you backed off just a little bit and include the full ‘window’ (top to bottom, not left to right)?
Interesting idea!Check It Out
