There is no catch light in the dog eyes. This image is quite flat. And compositionally, it’s better not to center the subject so the viewer’s eye has some negative space room to rest.

If the butterfly is the main focus, then there is way too much going on around it. Try cropping 1/3 off the horizontal top and 1/4 off each of the sides. The composition needs a lot of work as does the exposure.

I like the grain everywhere except in the doorway and on the men’s faces and bodies. I, too, would tone down the white wall.

I saw the LHS vignette immediately. It pulled my attention right away from the seagull. I like the negative space around the seagull…..not the vignette.

I posted this in SHARK TANK because I want feedback on the composition and tonality. Any other suggested improvements are welcome.

I think it is amazing you captured so much from a moving train. My first thought when I saw the overall image was that the saturation of the blues and greens was pushed too far. It doesn’t look natural. If, however, you didn’t push up the sat, leave it. The blue in the sky is unnatural and the suggestions above for that are great.

Thank you for your input. I tried putting the RHS window more in the frame, but it became too heavy.

I don’t see any prompts in the control panel. I have sized the image and uploaded it. Can you please be more specific?

I sized my image, but still don’t see anywhere that indicates how to insert my image as my profile photo. HELP.

I have uploaded my photo but can’t figure out how to get it as my profile picture. I’m guessing this might be a question to others, so I thought I’d post it.

Lynne Mass replied to the topic Incoming Storm in the forum The Shark Tank Feedback Forum 10y, 10mo ago
Storms are always fascinating, but in this capture I don’t know where you want the viewer’s eye to go – the clouds, the boat? My eye goes to and rests on the boat. It does then move through the image, but stops at the bright sky at the top right, which I think you should tone down a bit. Perhaps, lightening the dark cloud a bit toward the right…[Read more]

Yes, an interesting angle but VERY busy capture. My eye has nowhere to rest.
