Thanks @macgerahty – I think! I, too have been paying attention to what everyone says. My own conclusions don’t vary much from yours and what I suspected when I first posed the question. I am drawn to the idea that, although each person thinks differently about some aspects of their craft/passtime/profession/ hobby of photography, the collective […]

Nice one @macgerahty Here’s something to consider. One of my shrink mates said men think about sex every 7 minutes on the average. Now if you’re an average bloke maybe you either need to devote more time to thinking about sex and less about photography, or you’ve reached my stage in life where thinking about sex […]

tomdinning posted on the forum topic When does a photograph become art? in the group The Art of Photography: 13y, 4mo ago
I don’t doubt that photography is an accepted art form in the modern context. Steichen took care of that some time back. The question I ask is, if we use it, does the product immediately become art. I’m actually OK with the idea myself. But like @macgerahty and others, I have reached a point in time […]

Yeah, @macgerahty – there is a story on wired about them – they look cool.

Thanks @pefema :)!
Yes, I have a Nikon D3000 and I’ve used a 300mm lens (TAMRON 70-300mm, It’s a very “”cheap”” lens). Before, with the basic 18-55mm lens, take a picture of the moon was a very frustrating experience :p!
Cool pics! I’ve always had trouble shooting the moon.
Thanks @northmetrophoto !
I’ve always thought that take a picture to moon was very difficult, but now I think It’s a focal lengths problem principally: with high focal lengths (or with a telescope) It’s not too much difficult.
I took this photos with a no specially good 300mm lens.
Other pic, taken yesterday with full moon :)!
