      Hi,

thanks a lot for the replies. There are so many things and comments of you that i don’t even think about if I’m out there taking photos. But afterwards you they make totally sense. Maybe it was also the wrong image to start with, btw it was a sunrise, not a sunset. Just give me some reward that I got up at 4:30am 🙂 .

Usually I shoot in Apature priority. So at this time i didn’t really bother much to adjust my ISO or shutter speed, the only thing i checked was the histogram to have as many information as possible.
I’m also with Rob and Graham, the composition is more or less ok but not ideal. I wanted to show the sunrise as well as the fog creeping between all those trees in the distance. Maye one of each would be enough. Or even just another colortemp. to get a colder ‘early morning’ feeling.
The Image is already processed and cropped in post processing. The crop was also quite big, that was the reason why i didn’t want to zoom in even more.
I took around 150 images of the sunrise and after reviewing them on the PC there was just one or two that made me feel like ‘meh… maybe…’. But i think that normal.

Also thanks to Bruce, i really appreciate your adice and thats a big point why I went in a community and forum like this. I watched hours of youtube content about composition, camera, lenses,… but the real thing is the feedback of your own images, I really appreciate that.
Maybe a little dissapointing for you but i already upgraded my gear 🙂 But that was just some kind of ‘handheld/feeling’ thing. The D3300 is no bad camera for a beginner by all means, but I just didn’t like the feel, it’s quite light, the adjustment took me some hassle and the focus is a little slow. After testing a ‘better’ camera for a day I did the upgrade to a D7200 a few days ago.

      Thanks a lot!

ps.: Sorry if my english is not perfect, i even saw a little german in the original post. I don’t know why it slipped in there 😀

No there is no pink filter, i even adjusted it a little to the green side. The pink touch is from the rising sun in the background. The main reason to go out was the sunrise. This image was more a sideproduct but i enjoyed it even more.

Thanks for the link. I didn’t even saw this forum. I will give it a try and post more images by the time. I hope it is ok if i doublepost this in the other section…
