Not quite sure what to say here….
Image 1: The clarity is too high, the eyes especially to the point where the whites of her eyes are showing the red capillaries. The actual pose makes me think that her head leads back into some sort of 4 legged beast, the necklace is a very poor choice, certainly based on the fairly discrete earrings she is wearing… overall, she is slightly scary.
Image 2: Again the clarity of the face is too high and the rest of the shot is well off the black scale as to be unrecoverable. You also have a focus issue here.

F8, speed 1000 minimum, as necessary ISO 1000 – 1200, the sweet spot on this lens, I believe, is from 35-50mm, so shooting at 70 is the very limit of it’s capability.
Motion problems are two fold… the subject and the camera/photographer. For handheld off the hoof shots, I always over compensate.

Weston super mare…. my patch.
when sneaking a shot… be prepared. turn off auto focus and set approx distance manually with the highest aperture you can get without noise (go for iso 1600, even with good light) f8 is good.

I would like to see the pear, front of basket, without the slash damage, “photoshop” or turn it round and shoot again, either way. Otherwise, another great morte shot.

IMO.. you need to be more discerning with the use of a wide open lens… in some shots it has worked beautifully, with others… the actual focal point is in some doubt. Try the old centre auto focus point method , where by you focus on the object with the central point and then move the camera to frame the shot knowing that the subject is pin sharp.

A good eye. You need some real feed back though for the technical stuff. Suggest you post some individual shots for constructive critique.
xx.
Hi, I can see the point.. for practise, but the finished item doesn’t lend itself to the sky, it’s perhaps too obvious.

Hi,
Congratulations on getting the horizon straight. Looks like you’ve already had the lighten brush on his face, but I agree with the gentleman above… too red, and the blacks need a bit of unblocking.

Love the photography… well done on the lighting, not too moody….. Hate the balanced spoon!

Please straighten the shot

hi,
A well executed shot, light is just right. The clouds are a bit out of focus in my flickr version, F16 or 22, would solve this.
The title needs the explanation as its not at all obvious what the situation with the ship is from the shot.

Hi,
Background is everything.
xx
Hi…….
Straighten it please.

Hee Hee……..
Drugs may have their use for a higher consciousness, but they don’t help with focus….. have fun and return to the craft when straight, obviously having written down all those new ideas brought about by the weeeeee…..d. xx
Hi,
My Flickr copy has the focus on the girls right arm.
xx
Ahh….. as above! Straighten the shot.
Bad boy….
XxThese water carved caves are done to death……
I like your take on it though concentrating on texture and light rather that trying to score every available colour in the spectrum from 1/2 dozen bracketed shots.
There’s a good if not mystic feel to it.
XxI have learnt one thing over the years…
Ask for the shot. Don’t run after rear views, unless to convey a joke and never go below 1/125 with moving animals…
In England we say.. “you can’t polish a turd”, essentially, some shots should go in the bin.
xx
Apologies if I have already posted this……
