Hi
Thanks for that reply…I really see what you mean there. I had the first f-stop set at 2.0 but that seemed far too shallow. I will have some lighting set up soon so i’ll take what you’ve suggested on board and i’ll see what I can come up with next time….cheers!

Hi there
I would have experimented with different angles to shoot the tractor at. Possibly low to the floor looking up diagonally so that only the sky and maybe partial cloud are in tne mix.

Hi there
I see what you mean now about the focus, I shot at f3.6. 1/1000, ISO 400 and the EV dial knocked to +1 (by accident). Perhaps I focused at the nearest point with the camera…it was the first time trying it out and I am a newbie… Cheers for the comments guys…

You’ve actually been complimentary with the image, (which is nice thanks but frowned upon in here). I was not looking for personal criticism regarding my friend’s weight, just to be judged how it appears as a photo. Personally i’m not offended by anything directed at me, it just seems a little childish to start poking at things that grown adults…[Read more]

Like the rules say…constructive ‘negative’ criticism is much welcomed…insulting my friend who I will be showing this to is not! Otherwise, cheers guys…

Hi there
I took this photo a few months ago with my Fuji XE1 with 14mm lens. I decided to turn it b&w and then restore all the spokes with a more subtle shade. I would just appreciate opinions as if this is an acceptable way of creative photography ot should I have perhaps have just stuck with colour or b&w or anything else for that…[Read more]

Hi there
This photo was taken a few months ago with my Fuji XE1 with 14 mm lens. I decided to turn it black & white and then colour the spokes in with a more subtle shade. Does anyone think I should have left it how it was or is colour and black and white acceptable?
Thanks
