Colourful write up, interesting selection. Great talent none the less, albeit obviously opportunistic a shot. Dude looks like a very interesting character. Processing is a tad heavy handed, but hey, no legs is a a great distraction from all of that! Congrats on the win.
Great captures but as for the site and processing, NOT a fan. In this day and age people want instant gratification, easy choices. The site presents a single image on each page link opening, like a single over cooked chip served up first at free gourmet banquet. Lost my custom at the start. The standard these days is a side scrolling thumbnail library with a topic specific sidebar column stage left, or brake topic selections in a toolbar format at the head of a scrolling thumbnail page. Plus 1 for the sidebar selection, fail on the scroll library, but, it’s a start. The format you have currently, relies on a single image to entice the viewer to click through the page arrows to continue viewing, that means thought, that means work, hence, you WILL need to post remarkable images to bait them onward. None of which are inviting enough for my good self to do so. Although I might mention on the outset that I have an inert hatred toward cheap arse HDR processing and heavy handed dodge ‘n’ burning techniques. For the most part, your image captures are well on point, though at this stage of the game, it appears your editing skills and processing choices are letting you down enough for me to lose interest at first glance of the site. Been there, done that. I would only hope you are shooting RAW format, because as your editing skills and processing choices progress, and they will, you will want to revisit a vast majority of these great images on the editing table. As it stands at the minute, I don’t like the site because it requires me to think, to analyze it, rather than just look at it in order to progress onward. What I am presented with to entice me to do so, is, in short, lacking in credibility, purely from the shots selected as the leading images, coupled with the heavy handed processing on them (although the content thus far, being a mixed bag of “done before” and opportunistic snap shots, a said select few are quite exceptional). All round it’s a pity though, I did look further at your work just for the sake of interest, garnered by your POW win. But that’s another conversation yet to be had. You have a great eye for content, the rest has an arguably long way to go… as do we all. Might i say just this one thing towards your content, you have a natural eye for very close up detail and composition, perhaps focus on that for a moment, and let the rest sort itself out as you go. And FFS learn how to clean edit and can the HDR plug-in nonsense straight into the shit bin! Your killing me. I’m more than happy to collaborate with you if you may seek alternatives to your current processing techniques. The truth as it stands is… you have a mundane site, your images are start up quality, but you have an amazing eye for detail.. YOUR CLOSE UPS ARE CRAZY ON POINT!!! I believe you see what others don’t, I also think your trying to feed the stream, but what do you believe in? What is your goal here? What do you want your site to represent you as to the world?…. no pressure…

Im getting sketchy girly ones to my home email address now saying they saw my profile on lightstalking and want to “Meetup”. When I check the mail header it looks like a fishing address and the last one had an attachment that scanned as a virus. Assholes

The depth of field is on the money, though it could benefit from a tighter crop just quietly. Maybe even a 1:1 square crop even

@tersha, nah it’s my friends bike. I shot it in his driveway against a red brick wall at night. Its a composite of about 15 shots i took hand strobing each part of the bike. I took about 80 shots and used the ones i wanted. The watermark was a last minute thing before i posted it. Think i’ll go back and change it to a graffiti font 😉
