Great shot Lisa. I like the way the rails lead your eyes to the ‘ghostly’ images. I don’t recall seeing a shot quite like it. Well done.

Canon have now responded. This is what they say:
It depends. If you have an EOS-film SLR, then all lenses will be EF, and they will all fit onto any digital SLR. If you have an older film camera, such as the Program AE1, then it will have an FD-mount, and none of the lenses will fit.
Please note that EF-S lenses are only for lower-end and midranage digital camera’s and do not fit any filmcamera, the digital EOS 5D-series, or the digital 1D-series.

Thanks Tom. Yes, I was expecting to lose some functions but as long as what I am shooting isn’t moving about, I should be OK.
Of course with the modern DSLR, I won’t have the split viewfinder screen to help with focusing (if you remember those).
Still awaiting response from Canon.

Morpho,
I’ve been considering registering for Kelby training. I have some of his books and I like the way he cuts out all the technical stuff and gets down to basics: if you press this button, this happens.I’m assuming his online ‘paid for’ tuition is of a similar ilk.

Hi,
If you are a Scott Kelby fan, If you don’t already know, Kelby does weekly 30 minute (approx) video tips for photoshop/lightroom and occasionally NIK software at http://kelbytv.com/photoshopusertv/. It’s free to use.

I work on the premise of what I feel comfortable with. If someone was pointing a camera and taking shots in my direction I would probably want to know why and what it was going to be used for. As a result, I always ask before taking the shot, explain why I want to take their photo, and then show them the image I have taken to make sure they are happy with it.
I believe that if their image is going to be displayed in a medium that could be viewed by hundreds if not thousands of people I, as a photographer, should at least get their permission to do that. I know I would expect it.
It’s a personal thing based on my own expectations i.e. why should I do something that I myself would not be comfortable with if it happened to me.
