Love the processing technique on this and the Halloween girl!
Thanks, @chrissie. The kids had a lot of fun — they said they watched movies to get ready (their older sister was my model, the Vampire Bride) and they talked their mother into letting them go along, and take some pictures too. They told me the movies showed that scary people stare at you but they never smile. So they made up their poses all by themselves!

<script async src=”//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>I gotta say, I associate bokeh with genuine DEPTH OF FIELD. I don’t think of artificial brushes, backgrounds, etc. as bokeh. Soooooooo old school. But there it is.
Very very nice. The bokeh looks natural, not pasted or brushed! And the pink and grey looks good together. @Chuy may be right!

Thanks, Chris. Im just now experimenting with studio lighting. Im thinking a reflector would work for her face, but We had a light on the background. Maybe you’re talking about the same bounce for her face and hair?? I’ll see what I can do in post.
I’m surprised, but that’s good to know! Sometimes we just don’t see our own pix the same way other people do.

Hi, Albirder Yep, I agree. The poster at the left is distracting. Maybe you can just darken the left side, or replace the part to the left of the post with something less contrasty and more boring? Because in general, I like the crop.
I like the red effect! The composition bothers me a bit. I wish the mound in front was on the right…
