Thank you Valery. I did add a fair bit of contrast, could do some more, I just didn’t want to over do it.
Thank you, Jasenka
I did some already, maybe need to do more.
Thank you all for your ideas. I set the black & white points, lightened the shadows, increased the contrast, added some vibrance, and cropped it. Rather than centering the flower, I cropped off the bottom, which didn’t have much detail. I also sharpened it a bit. What do you think?
Thank you Jasenka, I’ll give that a whirl
I agree, thank you Michael
Thank you Valery, I agree
Thank you Robert, it looks better already!
Now if I could only find more time in my day. I want 36 hours every day!!
Thank you Rob!
Thank you, Jasenka.
Thank you, Patrick!
Thank you Robert!
Thank you, Dahlia!!
Thanks Dahlia for your help on this image, and the help of others. Glad you like it.
I do like the composition. I agree with Mistyisle that the brightness of the white flowers (??) take away from the crab. I would suggested toning them down a bit, and maybe adding some brightness and contrast to the crab, to make it really pop.
Very interesting termite mounds, which do look like gravestones. I like the path that curves through the image. Also like that you gave us the background of the mounds. Colours in the sky are great, however I have a question. Did you replace the sky? I ask because the colours don’t seem to be behind the tree
So true. I took this image a long time ago, today I would photograph it quite differently

Hi everyone, I’d really like to thank you all for your very helpful comments. It’s taken me a while to get back to this image, life has it’s quirks. Here it is, what do you think of it now? I wanted to keep the same aspect ratio, so I left it as a 3:2
