Go with the Tamron Macro. ( In my opinion ) You need the focal distance. This was taken with a Tamron 90mm macro, and a Tamron macro with a DCR-250. About a 1″ away. I couldn’t have gotten close enough with only a 60mm lense. I do own a R1C1 ring light for macro. But didn’t need it here though. Full sun. Be careful of shadows.

A little over $600. But before that I also have a Nikon D90 and a D7000 I used to use a set of Kenco exstention tubes ( all electrical connections still work ) with my 50mm f1.4 Nikon lense. Nice and close. I also have a Raynox DCR250. Combine the two and it’s alot closer than 1:1 A really shallow DOF though. Alot of light needed. 50mm 50mm with Raynox 50mm with exstention tubes. 50mm with exstetion tudes and Raynox. All hand held. Not very clear. you neen to use a tripod.

Thanks Tom. I needed that. I haven’t clicked a shutter in months except for a couple of the grand kids at Christmas. I just always seem to be to busy. Moving, training to run a marathon, doing volunteer work. All just BS I guess. I must reinspire myself somehow. Your posting helped. Thanks again.

I own a D-7000. You can load the pic in your own camera raw editing and scroll right down the kelven scale of the white balance section. I’ve very rearly needed more than that ever. Works really well. It brings you right through all the color temps.

I’ve had cats all my life, and love them like crazy, but Rene that link is just pushing the envelope.

I just love the dew on the web. It really lets you see the detail in how it’s made. Sweet.
