@tobiepsg Sorry it took so long to get back to you, we had a death in the family. I appreciate the work you did thank you. I have learned from your work, that cleaning up small things can make a big difference. I will have to get photoshop. It didn’t distort your photo. When I use Windows Live Photo Gallery it takes me a while to do simple things…[Read more]

@tommartin Thank you, I’ve been wondering about the law being misread. I wondered about people who take vacation pictures not concentrating on the people in the scene, but only concentrating on the moment. I’m the type who gets fully involved with the photo and tend to block out everything else. I just didn’t want to rock the boat. I agree with…[Read more]

@tobiepsg I will rework the first photo and post it here when I’m done. That bright orange traffic sign is giving me a fit. I need to get a real photo editing program, any suggestions?Check It Out

@tommartin and tobiepsg I live in Georgia. Several years ago I was taken to small claims court over photographs my minor son and I took. The Judge and DA both found us innocent of any crimes, but versed us well on the law and we were told due to Georgia law we could not take photos of people or with people in them without a signed release form.…[Read more]

@tommartin Thank you for taking the time to comment.Up to this point I’ve been across the street at a second story window. I will plan to go a day that I can be on ground level and see what I can come up with. . The college and surrounding buildings offer plenty of practice. Several of the buildings are close to 100 years old.
I try not to…[Read more]

@falx Yes, it’s a place great for practice because I can visit often 🙂 Should I find something to use as a focal point and allow the school to be in the background instead of trying to make it my focal point? Thank you for your advice, it gives me things to practice on and goals to strive for.Check It Out

@falx the building as a whole, the plants and the trees. The building as a whole reminds me of buildings on old post cards when color was first introduced. I would love to go up to the road as it first starts and get a picture where the gate is centered, but it’s so massive it’s hard to get a good photo without catching students, the power…[Read more]

@el-dub I will remove the fence post, but can only try to remove the vehicle. I use Windows Live Photo Gallery for editing and on big items it tends to distort the photo. Thank you for pointing these out and bettering my photo.Check It Out

@tobiepsg Thank you! I’ll set it up on my camera until I get use to the settings. I’m reading everything I can set my eyes on for aperture, ISO and shutter speeds. Thanks to pics I’ve reviewed on this site and adding the info I am learning. Thanks to this site I am experimenting with settings now, where as before I only used the auto…[Read more]

I guess since I can’t get a review I’ll review my own work.
1: Remember in the future to write down your aperture,ISO and shutter speeds. This will make for a better picture in the future.2:If you take a picture through a window glare is an issue. It distorted the bottom of your photo.
I like how you captured the history and old feel of…[Read more]

I know you want advice, but you can’t improve on perfection. The colors are crisp and clean. The photo is balanced well and your subjects sizes are right or in proportion to the frame. Beautiful!Check It Out

I’m new to photography so take my comments with a grain of salt. This is not a professional opinion, but a personal opinion. The photo would have been great with two different options. First option:Everything in the foreground should have been crisp and clear while blurring the background behind the main subject flower.
Second option: You could…[Read more]

You need to add an e to your title 🙂 The photo would make a great identifier for this species. I’m jealous, I can only catch them on my feeder. You have been able to catch one on a plant. I wish I could do you a better service of critiquing, but I don’t have any suggestions to make it better. I’m just a beginner myself. My eye is caught by the…[Read more]
