No problem @wardsway. Sorry about your loss – all of the best to you and your family!
I do about 90% of post processing in Lightroom and the more complicated stuff (like the removal of large unwanted objects) in Photoshop. Between the two of them you’ve got all you need. Their in-the-box versions are very expensive but their download versions…[Read more]

@wardsway as promised: a demo of what PS’ Content Aware Fill feature does – not 100% perfect, but that’s more because of my selection of the objects which did not cover the full object in each case. Keep in mind that each of these were removed with a single click: –
Objects removed:
– the car;
– the guy coming around the corner;
– the…[Read more] -

@tommartin has it spot on. I also stay well clear of children – fortunately my one and only grandchild gives me ample oppurtunity in that regard! 🙂
@wardsway I usually use Photoshop to remove objects. It has a Content Aware Fill feature which does it without your even guessing that there ever was an object! Most commonly I remove people &…[Read more]

@wardsway Wow! With an experience like that I might be a little “gun” shy myself. I am no lawyer, but I would be willing to go out on a limb and say your rights were infringed. If you are in a public place you have the legal right to fire off your shutter at anything and anyone you like. Of course, there is always reasonable, common sense…[Read more]

@wardsway. What state are you referring to that requires a release? Generally a release is required only if you are going to publish photos for profit. Otherwise, any photos captured in a public place for personal use are not restricted. Check It Out

@wardsway You were on the right track with the 1st photo as far as content and composition are concerned – except for pesky phone lines etc. Sometimes one needs to accept these unwanted things if they can’t be removed in pp – and accept the fact that you’re not going to win rewards with it. Unless you sit down ond clone the gunk out. Hard work,…[Read more]

LOL, you made me laugh @wardsway! 🙂
I remeber having given feedback on an earlier, wider version of this pic. By the way most cameras these days allow recording of the data together with the pic. You then simply recall its properties / details later on, so you don’t have to write down or remember anything.Check It Out

@tersha
Thank you for sharing!I don’t think I have one good birdie shot. I don’t have a good excuse as there are birds that come around. I wish there were yellow ones. lol I used to see some yellow and black kind occasionally, but now all I see are doves, bluejays and some kind of hawks that hunt them. An occasional woodpecker…[Read more]
