I entirely agree with a lower angle. However, trying to get a cat to sit still for a portrait is not an easy feat. I just took advantage of the fact he decided to lay on the computer chair to take his picture.
I agree with the shadows under the eyes. But I do not see any problems with the framing or the cropping. How would you change it?

I personally think the color is fairly close to the actual rose. If anything I would fix the little blemishes in the petals.
I imagine that something could be done in post processing. But I would not have a clue. All I know how to do in pp is adjust the contrast and run PS Elements Smart Fix.
