        Good comments on the light @pitchblack. I can try a “virtual” reflector in Nik software for light and warmth. I can choose the gold filter for warmth and see if I can angle just right to light up the flower.

        In the end…the image may not be worth much more work at this point, and might be best to send it to the trash bin. I think it is a pleasing enough composition, but nothing remarkable. This is all good feedback for future reference.

          Yes…some of the shadows/OOF grasses on the left are perhaps a bit distracting and one of those things that is hard to notice until you actually get it loaded up and adjusted. Thank you. I only use Aperture for adjustments and not Photoshop so those kinds of edits are difficult to pull of well.

          It was actually only ISO 200, which is base for the Nikon D90. The noise is simulated film grain that I added…apparently not a good choice. 🙂
