I’m really enjoying all the street photos, my street is a couple of kilometers of dirt road surrounded by paddocks and trees with us being the only human inhabitants……so not a lot of activity happening there!
@thepaparazzo love the ‘Paris massage and spa’ photo, beautiful light and so sharp, to me it almost gives it a painting or old…[Read more]

@rachaeltowne Aww, Rachael, those are great shots indeed. Is the girl on the first pic your own daughter? such a cute kid! And that bathing doll… that’s just too cute! Great in BW too…
Yes, you must be careful when putting pics on the internet, isn’t it – esp. when taken in private settings like a classroom, and without written permission of…[Read more] -

@rachaeltowne Wow, Rachael, a little pentax mirrorless… that sounds exciting indeed! Did you receive it already? I would be interested to hear what your experiences are with it. I’m very happy with my Pentax K10 D , and don’t go anywhere without it if I can somehow help it… but a small one to take along when the big one is too impractical……[Read more]

@karamen thanks, that is pretty much what I was looking for, that and a hint of sleaze 🙂
@rachaeltowne Thanks 🙂 I was happy with it too, although I have done a slightly tidier edit now.

I just downloaded the free trial of this one so I need to spend time now in finding my way around it.
@rachaeltowne do you know of any really good tutorials on it or will it be a case of ‘just playing’ and seeing what results I get ?
And well done on getting your name mentioned, it’s always good to get your name out there !!

Lol. The one who dies with the most toys wins @redman! I have been looking at the Sony Nex-5R, but @rachaeltowne has also stirred an interest in Pentax in me Looking at the price it may well be the one! Look forward to seeing some photos Rachael.

@rachaeltowne Boooo! Thats a bummer! Im keen to see what pentax has for the table! You have stirred my interest about mirrorless cameras! No cigar for what my next addition to the toy box will probably be! Now I just have to decide which one suits me! The never ending saga of toys continues!

I love that first one Mike …such emotion captured in that moment.
I like what Wikipedia has to say about Street Photography:
“Street photography is a genre of photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places and does not necessitate the presence of a street or even the urban environment. ‘Street’ simply refers to…[Read more] -

Nice start Richard @camerasinger! I always find street photography a little confusing. It’s quite a broad area of photography, open to so many different interpretations.
These are a couple of my favourites of late, I think they’ve been on here before but oh well. Thanks for starting the throwdown Rachel @rachaeltowne. -

The light gives such great detail on those leaves, @rachaeltowne. I was looking to find some interesting leaves yesterday, but was struck by these little hangy things.

@rachaeltowne funnily enough I didn’t notice her but you are right, a lot like a zombie!
@redman thanks for the deconstruction, you are looking at them exactly as the judges in the competition would look at it so you’ve definitely given me something to think about! To answer a couple of your comments, the…[Read more]

Hpefully will be able to implement @rachaeltowne‘s idea too.
The way the new forums will work should offer us a lot more flexibility.

Yeah – have been doing some research.
At this stage looks like we are going to do a fairly major migration of the forum that will allow both @mikell‘s and @rachaeltowne‘s wishes to come true! lol
