@robdingwall I do not believe @ed-aldridge is out of line to ask you not download his photos. I believe that this is something we all on this website observe and respect. Check It Out

@robdingwall I don’t want to turn this into a big thing here but I am not telling you what you should or shouldn’t do, I am asking that you not download images that I have posted when I have specifically stated I do not give permission to do this. I think that is a fair enough request and one that I would expect people on this forum to…[Read more]

@nikon-nut thank you so much, I’ve made a change in the way I convert my B&W images and it seems to be paying off 🙂
@robdingwall to be honest I prefer it as is, to me it draws my eyes to the bottom part of the birdbath which was the intention. How were you able to download the image and was it full size? I post from Flickr 1) so that I can…[Read more]

Agreed @robdingwall I see a wall in the majority of the picture with two ladies in it. If you wanted to showcase the women then you should have got a closer shot or zoomed in. Other than that the color, contrast and saturation look good. Just remember that your focus point should be the main thing in your picture,Check It Out

Thanks @robdingwall, I’ll take a look at that.
Yep John, I seem to have an affliction with shallow DOF. I really like shooting that way and do it consciously.
Being said, my submissions to the stock agencies I do work on almost always pan the ones I do that way, so I guess I really need to do the shallower ones for my personal enjoyment…[Read more]

I think @robdingwall has hit the nail on the head here. The cliff faces are kind of interesting but they aren’t the point of interest, again the foliage is a beautiful colour but they aren’t the point of interest, the sky is nicely lit but it isn’t the point of interest…… Chose what it is that you want to show us and use that as the focal…[Read more]
