Cool, thanks mate 🙂
Where do you post photos to be considered for photo of the week?
Hi Kim,
Try googling-there is TONS of reviews and comparissons of just about every single peice of equipment you could think of. It actually gets to the point where its informatin over load IMHO..
Whilst your budget will be the overhwhelming factor I have found the 5D3 to be just amazing, I love it and you wont regret purchasing it. That being said if you dont have the money there are some amazing deals to be had with the 5D2 which is also a very capable camera.
What type of photography you into?

I brought my camera and tripod with me and was lucky with the sunrise yesterday which would have really benefited form the .6 soft I also have…..which was left at home in my haste to get to the airport lol 🙁 Will post the pics in a couple of days after I get home
November 27, 2013 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Weekend Photography Challenge #160 Sunset or sunrise #114196LOL, I keep getting alerts to new posts in my thread but they are all about a foggy abstract with crooked verticals and no watermark
Put a watermark on it?
😉
Do you mean crop from just above the watermark, or take the watermark out? TBH I dont really know why I put the watermarks in…if someone wants to pinch my photos (if they ever get good enough to be pinch worthy lol) then they will be able to do it watermark or not…
Its just the way it appears on this site for some reason. if you look at it on flikr it is rectangular
Thank you, I agree absolutely..colour is way off 🙁
Thank you, yes I agree entirely!! It certainly is funny how you can go back to a picture and think ‘what on earth was I thinking…’ Love the feedback!!
I must admit Im having trouble getting this one right though..Its also amazing the difference monitors make, it looks entirely different on my Mac at home compared to my PC at work. Heres another attempt
Very good pick up, thank you! I’ll adjust tonight when I get home. Composition wise any thoughts?
I normally hate HDR but they are really nice photos Mark!! Well done!
Fair enough…
@tersha if you are going to copy and post this comment to every new post why dont you make it a little easier for people to actually read and understand this apprently critical element of Shark Tank Ettiquette??
At the moment there is only a sticky with 4 pages of people making suggestions on how the section should be run with this the main point:
1) Make sure you are in the Shark Tank sub forum (there are several sub forums on this site)
2) Only negative (but constructive) comments (feel free to state “what worked” in the photo, but no “love this shot” type of comments.
3) Always be polite (this is about being helpful, not nasty)
4) Critique somebody else before you ask for a critique
5) Always post in a spirit of friendship and genuine helpfulness
6) When you post an image for critique, post a few sentence about how you took the shot, when and what you were trying to achieve. This helps people keep the quality of their critiques higher.
7) Ask people before you go ahead and edit their imagesBut no where does it clearly point out how people are supposed to “write a few words about how you took the shots, camera settings, etc” I would also question why this is so important-the whole purpose of this section is critique, what does it matter how the shot was taken or the settings-a keen eye should be able to say if a picture is over/under exposed, too noisy, incoorect WB, OOF, poor composition etc…?
I really like this photo, processed beuatifully and doesnt look fake which would haver been a real threat. Great job!
Thanks, you have done a good job of what would have been a challenging photo to take!
What camera and what settings?
Yes I think she was referring to the convo between me and raviputcha. His type of rude, disrespectful and down right petty remarks have no place in society or a web forum. Blasting a newcomer for not saying he would like a critique when posting in a section that is specifically designed to give critiques is absurd.
This site is struggling to get more than a handful of posts a day. We should be doing everything possible to attract more members rather than slam the door in their face as soon as they knock on the door…
Apologies to the OP for the thread hijack…if you ever com back to read this…
That’s much better! I agree re the rubbish about the riders head being down-what u have shot works well. I know we are supposed to focus on negatives but u have done a goof job in pp correcting the exposure of the rider-how did u do this, in LR or photoshop?
