Personally I would lighten up the darkest part of the cloud just the slightest amount. It draws my eye away from the girl.

Thanks Jericho, I’ll try b&w which I’m typically drawn to. I think to only reason I didn’t is that Evon’s complexion and hair reminded me of my late wife.

Thank you Jericho. I’m not sure you may not have seen the entire photograph? Try clicking on it an see if the ear is there.

Too much empty space. Takes away from the lovely landscape. Basically I think there is two thirds of virtually empty space. I would have reduce the amount of sky about 25% while intensifying the the blue just above the horizon line thereby giving some more weight to the landscape.

Perhaps a little less sky at the top or some vignetting at the top.

Excellent idea but I seem to be having trouble posting a photograph in the shark tank. I can see that I have uploaded the photo but it doesn’t show up with everyone else’s. No comments regarding it since last […]

I’m planning to submit this photograph as part of a portfolio to become a “Juried Artist” at a local art association. I’d like some feedback on how it could have been improved.

The woman appears cut off at the ear..you feel an absence of seeing her head in full view.. The blurry object at the bottom right could be removed to prevent eye distraction. Another tactful approach would be to get in and crop right up to her face . Good luck in your endeavors.

1000 apologies I’m new to the group and was unaware of the picture click. Observing the photo once again the right side could be cropped or too, thinking it would look better to square the frame around her face. This would seem to grab viewers attention.
-
Have you considered this photo in black in white too.? It may be more appealing both square framed and black n white.. Making her facial expression center stage.

It seems a little flat to me. I think the colors could use a little more vibrance or punch.
