I think unless you are lucky enough to be a professional paid to travel you tend to shoot what you have access to, for me that is people, I use my phone because on a train a DSLR stands out like a sore thumb and like you @thepaparazzo I don’t like confrontation. I think the reason his reaction upset me is because he took 5 minutes out of my 38…[Read more]

Thanks Mike @thepaparazzo …that little girl in pink was one of my favourites of the day too…but did you happen to notice the boy beside her??? I stopped to take their photo and he immediately put his pinwheel down and pulled out the toy machine gun to display instead!! And he has a pistol in the other hand! @thepaparazzo: Did you use anything to stabalize yourself or your phone for that shot? It is quite sharp if it is handheld.

@thepaparazzo – Sorry to dissapoint you, but the third one is a picture of my wife.
My problem is exactly as you describe it: I don’t have the guts to photograph people I don’t know. I’m not much of a street photographer 😀 But everytime I go somewhere crowded I try taking a baby step towards becoming a street photographer!Check It Out -

I know @bugadrienne. But in my experience there’s hardly ever a photo straight from the camera of which you can say ‘it’s perfect’. I spend on average 30 secs on a pic in post processing so it’s not a drag to me.
@thepaparazzo: well said, LOL!
