@albirderWhat I was trying here was to avoid the external flash and hence I set the exposure value to 1 as it was evening time and the sun was setting. The proper way would have been to go with external flash and not set the exposure value to + 1. I also checked the ISO value and it is at 12800. Setting the exposure value to 1 bumped up the ISO and also went for a slower sbutter speed as I was using aperture priority and auto ISO, these two settings were set by the camera. Had I gone by a higher shutter speed around 1/100 or 1/125 and ISO 200 and external flash, things would have been better. Good I am learning to dissect by photo by getting all the suggestions from the experts.
Let me know what experts think of my learnings.
@Albirder, @Yumarena, @Lunac73 and @Shawnp – Thanks everyone for the reply. I do agree that the focus on the eyes should have been better, however with SAW SCALED VIPER, one of the top 4 deadliest and venomous snake in India, I had very little time to shoot and when I took this shoot the snake actually moved towards me and I was flat on the ground to get an eye shot. No reasons but I do agree I could have done better.
Thanks again, I will surely look at the suggestions provided.
@Gkt1234 – Used 1.4 tx III with 100-400mm f/3.5-5.6 L lensand hence the minimum aperture was f/8

It’s a small bird which is very much similar to House Sparrow in terms of size and appearance. Monsoon season is the breeding season for the Baya Weaver bird, during which the male Baya Weaver bird (identified by a yellow crown on it’s head, the female is dark brown in color) builds a nest hanging from the tree branch. Building of the nest is done very meticulously and is an activity to attract the females. The nests are build in colonies of 20-30.
It is really amazing to see how the male Baya Weaver bird gets the nesting material and then ties the knot carefully to build the nest.
