Hi everyone, I apologize for the late reply and I appreciate all of your feedback.
@tersha, Thanks for pointing that out, I reread the etiquette and realized that I need to be more specific about the shot.
I crouched by the base of the tree to try to take a shot of the Pacific with the tree framing it on the left side. I loved the tree…[Read more]

@valeryp
I know that general perception is that children portraits should be cute and tender. And it’s probably true for the infants. But when you have a child with personality as strong as mine it’s not always possible to play tender card:) I see my goal as capturing her mood trough the eyes and facial expression and try to use color and…[Read more] -

Thank you, @riteshsaini, @rklachance and @lisahill. I did tons of research and I know that magazine quality images require lots of special lighting, HDR or blended exposures. Because I don’t have any of those skills yet, I opted for the small aperture (F/16), tripod and long exposure on all the interior shots. I had to edit for blown highlights…[Read more]

Thanks @tersha – well chuffed!
@rklachance – @bugadrienne is right they have an egg tooth. I don’t think I have captured one yet, but they use it to pip the egg and it’s at that point that they become air breathers. It is very hard to see with the naked eye. If I find I can capture one I’ll post it here.

Wow @rklachance what a well thought out and perfectly expressed analysis. I am not saying that because it involves my pic. You were able to express only what I thought about this image. This is actually a crop from a larger pic. I find that I am doing this more and more. Looking for the photo within the photo so to speak. I, of course, do…[Read more]

Thank you @rklachance! I might try to crop one of these down. I see what you mean about losing the subject. For my weekly photo project, I have to keep the 23 weeks blocks in it. Hopefully from there I can choose a color tone. I will post it when I get to my computer! Thank you!Check It Out

I love all thee ideas, but I must say @felixsanchez had the best idea. I will now rename it ON Patrol. It just seems that my girls are out on patrol.
@rklachance we love our greys too. I would never get another dog. Its a grey or nothing for us.

No excuse Patrick! I will re-think and re-shoot sometime soon… the piñatas will be there until Christmas and I have to buy one for the neighborhood kids so I will return. I agree with @rklachance… overwhelming with the mass of bright colors and if I get closer the subject is totally unrecognizable. I don’t think a step to the left will…[Read more]
