@bugadrienne: I like the skewed perspective, the left downward slant. It creates a tense feeling in this near vacant and unglamorous space. Whether or not you intended the slant when you pressed the shutter, you left it in in processing and it works with this space.
@tbogey: Nice comparison of old and new and intelligently composed with angles…[Read more]

@tbogey – This is looking quite flat on my screen, but I cannot figure out why. May I ask what you did to it in post?Check It Out

Thank you @tbogey, I learnt so much watching those two videos, more than I have reading the manuals and from other sources. Simple, easy peasy , straight forward, language. Highly recommended for dummies like me. Cheers

I like it.
At the very least, whether you meant to or not, the photo fits in with the rule of thirds with the placement of the lamps. The slanting line of the bank roof gives a lead toward the lamps. There are repeated shapes in the bottom third that gradually lead from the left then the taller building sticking up in the top right…[Read more] -

@tbogey, @tersha:
Here in S. FL, I envy anyone who got a different season. Winter passed us by this time. Crocus look so beautiful, but would probably not survive a few days down here.
I was sweating over here as my air conditioner broke recently. 🙁Check It Out -

@tbogey I’m not sure what you mean, camera data and background? @nikon-nut I did a B&W version to I just didn’t get around to uploading it before now. 🙂
Here is another version of the same pic. I made it B & W and cropped it a bit.

The problem to me @tbogey is that HDR should enhance what is needed to be enhanced. I admit there are many times that I have seen obvious HDR images that I like. The halo is a dead giveaway and that’s why, for me, it is a non starter. I will work days to eliminate it from my own photos and I think that anyone else that wants to do this…[Read more]

I like it @tbogey! This is the way I believe HDR works for me. It must reflect the best of all the exposures without revealing the fact that it’s HDR.
Nice exposure, nice scene, nice composition – well done!
(PS: A bit of a halo around the trees etc. but I’m not too sure how you would solve that)Check It Out

Agreeing with @tbogey. Thing is, the barn on the left does not add any value to the photo. Interesting site – how about going back for a redo? 🙂Check It Out
